Scoliosis Clinic
Specialised Rehabilitation for Better Posture, Movement and Spinal Health
Scoliosis is a three-dimensional condition of the spine characterised by an abnormal curvature and rotation of the spinal column. It can influence posture, muscle balance, spinal mobility and everyday movement. Since every individual presents differently, rehabilitation needs to be personalised according to the person’s age, condition, functional limitations and goals.
At NeuroWalk, our Scoliosis Clinic focuses on understanding the complete movement pattern of each individual rather than focusing only on the spinal curvature. Our physiotherapists conduct a detailed assessment of posture, spinal alignment, mobility, flexibility, muscle strength, balance and functional movement to understand how scoliosis may be affecting everyday activities.
Based on the assessment, a personalised rehabilitation programme is developed. Treatment may include scoliosis-specific exercises, postural and movement re-education, core and trunk strengthening, flexibility and mobility exercises, breathing and thoracic mobility training where appropriate, and functional movement training. Patients are also guided regarding ergonomics, daily activities and suitable home exercises to support their progress beyond the clinic.
Our approach is focused on improving movement quality, physical capacity, confidence and functional independence. Rehabilitation programmes are regularly reviewed and modified according to the individual’s progress and changing needs.
At NeuroWalk, we believe that effective rehabilitation begins with understanding the individual, setting meaningful goals and providing consistent, personalised care.
Your spine is unique. Your rehabilitation should be too.
